PURPOSE & GOALS
The Fallen Fire Fighter Relief Fund was created in the memory of two Orange County Fire Authority firefighters lost in the line-of-duty in 1998.
The Fund was established as a means for OC Firefighters, Local 3631 to offer financial assistance to professional firefighters, firefighters' families and charity organizations throughout the State of California.
CHARITABLE TRUST
The Fallen Fire Fighter Relief Fund is a recognized IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable trust (33-0915574).
BACKGROUND
The Fallen Fire Fighter Relief Fund to date has donated approximately $1,000,000 to families in immediate need.
The fund, supported by Orange County citizens, businesses and employees of the Orange County Fire Authority, has time and again stepped forward with immediate relief to ease the grief and hardship of these catastrophic losses.
The fund is completely tax exempt.
Administration of the fund is provided by the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association, Local 3631 under the fund’s own by-laws and governing committee.
CURRENT FUNDING
The Fallen Fire Fighter Relief Fund major funding resources are:

Automatic payroll deduction through the United Way (FAL 100),

The Fallen Fire Fighter Golf Tournament

Softball Event and
-
The Antique Fire Extinguisher collection project.
Various other vehicles such as clothing, and sporting events also are directed to the fund throughout the year.
In addition, throughout the year, we partner with individual corporations as they hold fundraisers and direct money to The Fallen Fire Fighter Relief Fund.
